At Beach House Bar & Grille, I have created a menu using fresh, seasonal and unique local ingredients; I have surrounded myself with a dedicated team who all share my vision and hard-work ethic; and I have strived to create a positive-energy environment — all of this to provide a memorable and affordable experience for each and every guest.
As a transplant from Wisconsin, I landed in the beautiful city of Pensacola, in the sunny state of Florida, back in 1997. I have been enchanted with this coastal paradise ever since.
Growing up in Wisconsin, I was fortunate to have a large family that truly nurtured my passion for food. I spent many summers on my aunt and uncle’s dairy farm — where I learned first-hand the meaning of hard work and dedication, and the rewards that come from that.
While studying sports medicine and exercise science at the University of West Florida, I worked in many restaurants – working my way up through every position and learning, along the way, how successful restaurants are managed and operated.
After research and soul searching, I decided to pursue a career in culinary arts. I graduated magna cum laude from the Art Institute of Atlanta, where I had the opportunity to work alongside many talented chefs. From there, I expanded my knowledge and skills by studying and touring the culinary scene in Italy.
Now I am to the point in my career where I am ready to launch my own restaurant concept — one that stems from my passion to serve and the simple understanding that good food brings people together.
